TRUE COLOURS : SPRING
Through the use of emulsions that were created from plants. This project exposes the true colours of spring flowers and their hidden beauty. A collective of many species that bloom during the months March, April, May and June. from small weed-like plants such as Green Alkanet to the more well known plants like carnations. All of which were sourced from local areas around Borehamwood, Waltham Abbey and Bath, where I was staying while completing this project.
Spring is a time of growth and transformation, which I think personally reflects on where I am at in my current stage of life. So being able to physically create work through taking on an experimental process, and transforming the plants into photographs has helped me to connect more with the natural processes and life itself in its purest form. Immortalising these fleeting spring colours. All while learning and growing as a photographer.
